The three-match T20I series between Pakistan and South Africa served plenty of drama and thrill. After going down in the opener, the hosts bounced back timely and sealed the decider to take the Pak vs SA T20 series by 2-1.

Match 1: South Africa Start On A High

In the opener at Rawalpindi, the visitors kicked off strong with a convincing win. South Africa posted a commanding 194/9 on the board, courtesy of Reeza Hendricks’ composed 60 off 40 balls. Pakistan’s chase faltered. They collapsed for just 139 runs, handing South Africa a comfortable 55-run victory. The home side’s batting showed cracks with several loopholes and an inability to build strong partnerships.

Match 2: Pakistan Strike Back

Facing a must-win, Pakistan responded defiantly at Gaddafi Stadium. South Africa’s innings crumbled for just 110, undone by a fiery spell of 3 for 14 from Salman Mirza and an impressive four-wicket haul from Faheem Ashraf.

With a blistering 71 off 38 from Saim Ayub, Pakistan chased it down with nine wickets in hand in just 13.1 overs.

Match 3: Decider Goes Pakistan’s Way

In the third and final T20I at Lahore, Pakistan held their nerves till the end. After being put to bat first, the visitors managed to score 139-9. 

Pakistan chased it down in 19 overs with four wickets in hand. A well-crafted half-century by Babar Azam marked his return to the side after being dropped from the Asia Cup.
