In response to recent media reports, Muhammad Yashal Mazhar, the Media Manager of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), has clarified that his comments were misquoted by one of the Russian journalists.
The original report suggested that an unofficial Pakistani team could travel to Moscow for a friendly match. However, Mazhar has now stated that the PFF is not sending team to Russia for a friendly match.
“My statement was taken out of context. The PFF is not sending any team to Russia, thats is all i know,” Mazhar told The Sports Side.
The clarification comes after reports claimed that a friendly match between the Russian and Pakistani teams could take place on October 11. The PFF had already issued a denial of these reports, but the latest misquote added further confusion, which has now been rectified.
In closing, the PFF remains focused on its current projects and any official international engagements will be announced through proper channel.
