The 2023 F1 season is heating up and the latest Monaco Grand Prix race was nothing short of a thrill ride. With unexpected rain and the challenging track of Monaco, the race was full of surprises and shocks that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Red Bull: No Surprise But Still a Surprise?
The champion of the world, Max Verstappen once again has done it and grabbed the pole position. The race full of surprises included no surprise for Max Verstappen as he finished the race in the top position without any difficulties. Usually, the track of Monaco is very tricky and hard to handle with so many sharp turns and slippery due to rain, but the Red Bull driver drove brilliantly without making a single mistake. And even Fernando Alonso who finished second on the podium was dumbstruck by the driver’s excellence in Monaco.
Sergio Perez had a difficult day in Monaco grand prix race. He pitted at the end of the first lap for hard tires hoping to go to the end. However, he tangled with Lance Stroll out of the Tunnel and needed to pit for a new nose. He was then used as a guinea pig by his team as they fitted him with intermediate tires quite early, before switching him to full wets and then back to intermediates. Perez finished in 16th place in Monaco.

Fernando Alonso: A Show Of Skill and Strategy
The Aston Martin driver, once again showed his class and skill, grabbing the second position on the podium. Fernando Alonso gave Max Verstappen a tough time but failed to pass ahead of him.
While his partner, Lance Stroll had a disastrous day in a race full of surprises as he failed to finish the race.
Ferrari: Average Day in Monaco?
Charles Leclerc’s misfortune at the Monaco Grand Prix continued in 2023. Despite his best efforts, he received a three-place penalty during the qualifying round. However, he showed resilience and determination on race day, managing to secure a respectable 6th-place finish. While it may not have been the result he was hoping for, it was still a respectful performance given the circumstances.
The same thing happened with Carlos Sainz as he finished in 8th spot. He started at a respectful position of 4th but soon dropped down four places to eight, and couldn’t recover from it.
Mercedes: Just One Step Behind
In a race full of surprises, Mercedes was unable to secure a spot on the podium despite their best efforts. The Mercedes drivers, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, both put up a challenging fight but ultimately fell short of their goal, finishing in 4th and 5th positions respectively.
Alpine Renault’s Strong Performance at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix
The Alpine Renault team had a successful race at the race full of surprises. Esteban Ocon delivered an astonishing performance, keeping his determination in changing conditions to finish in an impressive 3rd place Pierre Gasly also had a successful race, finishing in 7th place. This result marked Alpine’s first podium of the 2023 World Championship season.
