Can Max Hit the Jackpot in Vegas?
After the drive which was nothing short of brilliance in Sao Paulo Max Verstappen got enough lead over Lando Norris. There is a high chance of the Dutchman being crowned champion for the fourth time in a row.
Finishing ahead of Norris and gaining points will guarantee a championship victory. Even if he finishes one place behind the British driver but manages to clinch the fastest lap point he will be crowned champion for the fourth time at the end of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
To prevent this from happening Lando Norris would simply have to outscore his opponent by 3 points. If this happens the driver’s championship will be alive for Qatar Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc and Oscar Pisatri are already out of the championship contention.
Contention For Constructors Championship In The Las Vegas Grand Prix
The driver’s championship seems to be settled but there is a lot to play for in the constructor’s championship during the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Currently, McLaren is leading the championship. The points difference between them and Ferrari is just 36 points.
In the Red Bull camp, it’s been a one-man show despite winning 8 races they are in third place with a points difference of 41. Max Verstappen is a significant contributor to this points tally. It has been an underwhelming year for Sergio Perez.
Even if a team grabs 44 maximum points in the Las Vegas Grand Prix the battle is still on in Qatar and might be till the very end in Abu Dahabi. The competition for the middle position is equally thrilling. Mercedes and Aston Martin are on fourth and Fifth position respectively. Alpine made a significant stride from 9 positions to 6 positions after a double podium in Brazil.
