Another associate nation team upsets a full-member nation thus embarking on the debate of whether there should be more teams participating in the World Cups and whether more teams should be added to the world cup so today we will be discussing whether fact is essential to include teams.
Tendai Chatara of Zimbabwe is bowled by Scotland for the final wicket during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Zimbabwe 2023 match between Zimbabwe and Scotland at Queen’s Sports Club on July 04, 2023, in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
10 teams world cup a good deal?!
There has been a demand for more teams to be participating in the world cup to increase the spread of cricket all over the globe. There must be exposure given to these teams as this not only increases the spread of cricket but also enables them to have an excessive amount of talent being identified and shown to the world. To let the nations who are beginners in the sport believe that they one day by hard work can achieve wonders.
After West Indies, no Zimbabwe in 2023 World Cup as well 💔

The fight shown by Zimbabwean teams across decades has been phenomenal. Cricket world & it's fans will miss Zimbabwean + West Indian teams in #CWC23
Why to limit teams instead of including more teams like football? pic.twitter.com/SOQRPvwQ5M
After Zimbabwe's heartbreaking exit, two teams remain in the race for the final #CWC23 spot 👀

More teams should be taking part in world cups:
More teams should be taking part in the World Cups. This will not only benefit those teams but will allow us to improve cricket while providing all teams the much-required zeal, helping us to build more balance and competitiveness between teams. The prime example of these are Afghanistan and Ireland as they both started as associate nations and worked very hard to attain full member status but here ICC needs to realize that if from 10 teams 8 are selected from rankings and the remaining 10 nations will be fighting for 2 spots. This is the reason why it would be quite okay to say that ICC needs to work on this issue as we all want cricket as a whole to grow and not to stay limited by any means for that we must give more chances to these associate teams. We have seen in these qualifiers that associate members did beat full-member teams and some gave them a very tough fight. ICC should encourage them by giving them opportunities.
