When the tournament arrives be it cricket or any other sport, fans adjust their gazes to find the biggest contest which in cricket is India vs Pakistan. This battle is so big that it makes the other part of the tournament look dull.
I am sure that I don’t have to explain the energy behind this epic battle. But shockingly, some news is coming from the BCCI that they may have to reschedule this epic contest.
Why? Logistic Issues?
First of all, we all have to learn that there is nothing official yet but some prominent sources are sure that India vs Pakistan will be rescheduled. It is all because of the Hindu festival of Navaratri, which will be celebrated on October 15.
According to the official fixtures that ICC has already announced Pakistan versus India will be played on October 15 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
BCCI has concerns over security on 15 October so they will have a meeting with all state associations that are hosting World Cup matches on July 27 before making any official decision.
Rescheduling one game may also create schedule chaos. The original World Cup initially released by ICC has a doubleheader on 14 October, on which the BCCI is planning to reschedule India vs Pakistan.

Now what is the BCCI gonna do? Have the triple-header? If this is the case then this ODI World Cup will be the first 50-overs World Cup ever to host a triple-header in a day.
Players’ fatigue may also kick in
India will open their World Cup campaign on October 8 against Australia in Chennai and will also be contesting against Afghanistan on October 11 in Delhi. According to the initial schedule, India has the rest of the three days before the big game against Pakistan and they also have four days rest before their next game against Bangladesh.
Pakistan will play the Netherlands on October six and Sri Lanka on October 12 before India vs Pakistan. Meaning that Pakistan will have the rest of the two days before the big game according to the schedule.
So if the BCCI decides to have this game on October 14, it will mean Pakistan will now have only the rest of one day, and India two days before the biggest fight.
Is one day’s rest enough for the players? Surely not, mentally and physically they need to be prepared for the biggest challenge so this will not be liked by any of the players.
One more thing that fans are fully prepared for is India vs Pakistan, hotels are being booked for literally one lac for the night near the stadium on October 15.
