Pakistan Football is set for an exciting international outing as the national team prepares to compete in the Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament 2026, scheduled to take place in the Maldives from June 1 to 10, 2026. The tournament, hosted by Malé, Maldives, will be held at the National Football Stadium and features four nations — Pakistan (PAK), Bangladesh (BAN), Maldives (MDV), and Afghanistan (AFN) — competing in a round-robin group stage format before a final showdown.

The action kicks off on June 1st with Matchday 1, where Pakistan will face Bangladesh at 1600 hours, followed by a second fixture between hosts Maldives and Afghanistan at 2100 hours. Matchday 2 takes place on June 4th, with Maldives going up against Pakistan at 1600 hours and Afghanistan clashing with Bangladesh at 2100 hours. The tournament continues on June 7th with Matchday 3, featuring Afghanistan versus Pakistan at 1600 hours and Maldives taking on Bangladesh at 2100 hours. The tournament concludes on June 10th with Matchday 4, the grand final, where the Group Winner will face the Group Runners-Up at 2100 hours. All matches will be broadcast live on PSM (Public Service Media).

Ahead of this important tournament, the Pakistan Football Federation has officially confirmed the technical staff appointments for the national team’s campaign. Adeel Rizki, holding a UEFA A license, has been appointed as Assistant Coach, joined by Mahmood Khan, also a UEFA A license holder, in the same capacity. Walid Javed Khan, a UEFA B license holder, will also serve as Assistant Coach, while Aslam Khan, an AFC A qualified goalkeeper coach, rounds out the senior team’s backroom staff. The appointments reflect a blend of both UEFA and AFC qualified professionals, signaling a serious and structured approach to Pakistan’s preparations for the tournament.

In addition to the Diamond Jubilee campaign, Pakistan’s U-20 Men’s side is also set for international action, with a friendly match scheduled against Azerbaijan. The young squad will be guided by Essa Khan as Head Coach, who holds an AFC B license, with Muhammad Ashfaq serving as Assistant Coach under an AFC C qualification, and Jaffar Khan, an AFC C GK Course holder, taking charge as Goalkeeper Coach.
