The oldest tournament in cricket is on its way. Its 123rd season started on the sixth of April and is scheduled to get wrapped on 29 September. 18 clubs take part in this tournament. Teams are allowed to play two overseas in their XIs. They need to sign the best cricketers from all over the world. It is almost impossible for teams to seek eyes from Pakistani Cricketers. Hence they always target them. Players also get a great opportunity to get their skills and form right, hence why the county is considered the best league amongst all the other first-class leagues.

Azhar Ali
He is currently playing for Worcestershire, this team was relegated to 2nd division in 2018. So he has played 6 matches so far, in which he got 11 innings to play. Scoring 312 runs at an average of 31.20. His performance is satisfactory considering that he has got only one teammate above him, Matthew Waite has scored 332 runs at an average of 47.42.
Muhammad Abbas
Playing for Hampshire in county division one has made everyone applaud him. He is undoubtedly the leading Pakistani cricketer in the county. Abbas has taken 26 wickets in six matches. Shan Masood
Only one to captain a team in the county amongst all of the Pakistani cricketers, currently captaining Yorkshire. Yorkshire was relegated to division two on the last day of the county last year. He has played only one match this season and scored 54 runs at an average of 27.00. He didn’t play more matches because he was called up by the Pakistani cricket team for the recent New Zealand series. Last season he made history after becoming the first-ever Pakistani cricketer to score 1000+ runs in a season. He is also set to captain Yorkshire in limited-overs cricket.
Haider Ali
Known as a power hitter, a young talented batter joined Derbyshire this year. Derbyshire must have checked his first-class record where he averaged 45+ and also they have signed him for white ball campaigns as well. Coming to his county performance, his team is in division two. He has scored 157 runs in 9 innings / five matches, his top score is 65. His strike rate is 66. Playing county will help him gain the temperament he needs to thrive in his career. What are your thoughts?
Zafar Gohar
Gloucestershire is his team, currently playing in division two. His all-round performance is all that his team needs from him. He has scored 131 runs at an average of 26.20. Got a fifty to his credit. Took ten wickets also. I guess that’s all a team wants from a bowling all-rounder. He performed beautifully in the last season as well. The question remains should the Pakistan cricket team have a look at him? Specifically when they are in search of a good spinner?
Hassan Ali
A man with a lot of performance in the Pakistani cricket team still earns highly unfair criticism, it’s hard to be Hassan Ali. Let’s look at his record in the current county season. Playing for Warwickshire, he has got 17 wickets to his credit at an average of 19.35. It is an excellent performance. Hassan Ali is a wonderful example of never giving up. He never let go of himself, he always finds a way to make ways to get into the Pakistani cricket team. Will he make a comeback again?
Saud Shakeel
Signed with Yorkshire, The same team where Pakistani cricketer Shan Masood is captaining. Though the contract was short-term, meaning he was only there for a few matches. He played 3 matches and 5 innings in which he scored 71 runs at an average of 14.20. Quite unfortunate that this talented batter couldn’t deliver for Yorkshire in the county.
