The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced a provisional squad for their upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier matches against Jordan. The matches are scheduled for March 21st (home) and March 26th (away).
The team, led by Head Coach Stephen Constantine, will begin training on March 11th in Lahore before moving to Islamabad for final preparations.
Squad
The probables list features a selection of homegrown players. Goalkeepers Salman Ul Haq, Saqib Hanif; who is recalled again to the national camp, Hassan Ali, and Abdul Basit will vie for the goalkeeping spots. The defense list includes Mamoon Moosa Khan, Muhammad Sohail, Junaid Shah, and Umar Hayat, with Haseeb Khan, Mohammad Saddam, Muhammad Hamza Munir, Kamil Ahmad Khan, and Muhammad Adeel providing competition.
The midfield options include Alamgir Ghazi, Rajab Ali, Ali Uzair, Moin Ahmad, Zaid Umer, Mohammad Zahid Shah, and Ali Zafar. Upfront, the attack will be spearheaded by the experienced Shayek Dost, with Fareed Ullah, Muhammad Waleed Khan, Muhammad Waheed, Muhammad Adeel Younas, and Yasir Arafat vying for a place alongside him.

Diaspora Players Inclusion
The inclusion of overseas, Pakistani-origin players will bolster the final squad. The announcement is pending FIFA clearance, but England-born midfielder Adil Nabi and Denmark-based left-back Mohammad Fazal are also expected to join the team.
Local Defender Abdullah Shah Missing From Camp
Local defender Abdullah Shah is surprisingly missing from the camp. There is no official word on why he was not included in the probables. Abdullah was a regular starter under Shahzad Anwer but has not featured in any game under Stephen Constantine.
Training Camp
After training for five days, the team will leave for Islamabad to give the finishing touches to the preparations. Jordan is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on March 19. They have already been issued Pakistan’s visas.
The national camp will begin here at the Model Town Ground on Monday under English coach Stephen Constantine who is expected to arrive in the city here on Sunday. The support staff includes fitness coach Claudio Altieri, Rogerio Ramos Dal Solio, and Noman Ibrahim, both goalkeeper coaches, and Muhammad Ali Khan as strength and conditioning coach.
Pakistan will host Jordan on March 21 at Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium and Jordan will host Pakistan on March 26.
