Pakistan Announces Revamped Squads for High-Stakes New Zealand Tour

After a disappointing campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken bold steps by unveiling revamped squads for their upcoming tour of New Zealand. The tour, set to run from March 16 to April 5, will feature an electrifying five-match T20I series followed by three intense One-Day Internationals (ODIs).

Fresh Faces, New Vision: Pakistan’s T20I Reset 


In a major shake-up, Salman Ali Agha has been handed the reins as Pakistan’s new T20I captain, signaling a fresh era for the team’s shortest-format aspirations. Star all-rounder Shadab Khan will be his deputy, bringing experience and tactical depth. This leadership change is part of the PCB’s strategy to inject new energy and direction into the T20I setup.

With an eye on the future, the selection committee has included a blend of promising newcomers and established performers.
