Is over-confidence in bazball good for England in the long run?

Today we will be discussing the impact of bazball on England cricket and whether it is suitable for cricket or not. So as we all know the concept of bazball started with the signing of Brendon McCullum as England’s Test coach and with the likes of Stokes being handed the reigns of the test team as Joe Root step down from captaincy following a dismal run in the test match cricket.

Bazball History:

England started playing test cricket with bazball when Brendon McCullum Arrived as a head coach and since then it has turned out to be very fruitful for the English team as they managed to defeat Kiwis 3-0 in home conditions and managed to defeat Pakistan 3-0 in their own home series so as far it is concerned the aggressive approach of English batters have put the bowlers on the defensive note this not only helps them score big in fewest possible over but this gives them a psychological advantage to them against their opponents.

Will it be Successful or Not?!

So now the question arrives will this type of style of play be successful or not? As of now is concerned baseball has given them immense success but Bazball can have sometimes a negative impact on the game itself. Bazball is all about playing aggressively and with the aim of nothing to lose.

If we see the recent examples the Ashes first test England played with the same style of play but they did make a great mistake of declaring at the near end of the day play in order to bowl some overs and apply some pressure on them bazball is just a risk sometimes it will pay off sometimes in won’t and then eyebrow would be raised as we saw in the first The Ashes Test match with Joe Root being at the crease and England declaring.
