Injured Marsh Out of Pakistan ODIs, Inglis to Lead Australia

Pakistan ODIs

Australian captain Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the upcoming Pakistan ODIs. Marsh, who picked up an ankle injury during the Indian Premier League, did not fly out to Pakistan as Cricket Australia (CA) assessed his fitness.

The injury also made him unavailable for his final game for the IPL, where he was part of the Lucknow Super Giants.

CA has instructed Marsh to stay in Perth, where he will be evaluated and begin his treatment.

Inglis to lead against Pakistan again

In his absence, wicketkeeper batter Josh Inglis will lead the side. Inglis has previously captained the side on four occasions, including one ODI and three T20Is, all against Pakistan in November 2024. Pakistan won the ODI series 2-1 during that tour. This ODI series would be the two teams’ first encounter in ODIs since then.
