Matthew Lawrence Hayden is an Australian cricket commentator and former cricketer. Hayden was a powerful and aggressive left-handed opening batsman, who along with his opening partners, Justin Langer and Adam Gilchrist contributed heavily to Australia’s success in its golden era (2004-2011) in Test and ODI cricket respectively. Matthew Hayden while doing commentary in the WTC final revealed the “Cricket`s Majestic Trio”.

Recently, In the build-up leading to the World Test Championship Final between India And Australia, the former left-hand test great opened up the strength of both teams. While doing commentary for the WTC final Hayden was asked about the strengths of both teams and in a reply Hayden Quoted
“In a big game, runs on the board are always important. Steve Smith is a maestro for that.”
In the meanwhile, during this conversation, Hayden further said:
“If you think about modern-day greats, Steve Smith, Virat Kohli, and Babar Azam are once in a lifetime and might be this generation cricketers
Hayden also acknowledged the significance of Marnus Labuschagne and Pat Cummins in the Australian Team. Labuschagne`s emergence as a reliable batsman and Cummin`s dual role as a captain and a potent fast bowler adds further strength to the Australian Line-up.
Steve Smith who is renowned for his unique yet powerful and elegant batting technique, has played a significant role in Australia’s batting line-up.
Whereas as Former Indian Cricket team captain, Virat Kohli is known for his aggressive and passionate style of play. He has dominated the game for more than a decade
Pakistan`s Skipper, Babar Azam has progressed a lot in previous years through the ranks to become one of the game`s brightest batsmen.

Hayden`s work with Pakistan Cricket Team:
Pertinently, Hayden has worked with the Pakistan team as a batting mentor twice during the T20 World Cups. In 2021, he was appointed as a batting mentor and Pakistan played semi-finals against Australia.
In 2022, during the T20 World Cup Hayden was once again appointed as the batting mentor and Pakistan Played the final Against Australia in that campaign.
Hayden often praised Babar for his elegant and stylish batting skills during his stint with Pakistan Team.
