Strengths:
If we talk about the key players, then of course, the captain Paul, leads the way in the batting unit. He has been Ireland’s highest run getter in this format and a treat to watch at his best. In the recent series against Italy, he scored 72 runs, as he struggled to score fast on slow and sluggish pitches. Nevertheless, he will be the key player if Ireland is aiming for positive results in this mega-event.
Another batter who has been Ireland’s backbone is Harry Tector. Recently, against Italy, he scored 150 runs in the three-match series, also scoring an unbeaten knock of 96 in the second T20i.
