Meet Saurabh Netravalker, a 32-year-old Bowler as well as a software engineer. He was born in Mumbai and completed his initial education at Sardar Patel Insitute of Technology. Saurabh, After completing his engineering degree, he moved to the USA for a Master’s degree from Cornell University.

Saurabh’s Early Career:
Saurabh had already shown signs of a promising young left-arm fast bowler. Firstly, his talent shone brightly in the 2008-09 Cooch Behar trophy where he took 30 scalps in only 6 matches. Saurabh Netravalker engraved his name in the Indian cricket team by performing in India’s under-19 team for the 2010 U19 World Cup. After that, he made his first-class debut in the Ranji Trophy 2013 and then in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2014.
His pinnacle came with his performance in the ICC Under-19 World Cup, where his performance marked his potential prospect for the Indian National Team. But the competitive environment, alongside the presence of established players, made it difficult for him to have a breakthrough.

A New Chapter in the USA for Saurabh Netravalker
But Saurabh was undeterred by the disappointments in India, hence he moved to America. In the USA, he completed his degree from Cornell University and is now working as a full-time senior Software Engineer at Oracle. For the time being, Academics was his only priority, but cricket never really left him. He actively participated in recreational matches on weekends to keep his skills intact.
Meanwhile, Cricket stayed on with Netravalker. He played at all the levels of US Cricket and got selected in the first edition of the Major Cricket League Edition. Thus, In March 2023, he was picked by Washington Freedom as a bowler in the T20 World Cup.
USA Debut and National Team Rise:
Something clicked for Saurabh Netravalker during his stay in the USA, and his talent caught the eye of US National Cricket Selectors. In 2018, he was given a chance to play for the US Cricket Team, which marked his debut in List-A cricket. This proved to be a major turning point in his life.
His dedication and hard work paid off, as he was selected in the National Team. Saurabh has emerged as a vital part of the USA National Team, and a potent left-arm bowling weapon in the bowling arsenal.
