Weaknesses
As Indian team looks very balanced but it may have some shortcomings in all fields like
Fielding
As the Indian team has some gun fielders on their side
But an important point is that they may have 3 to 4 players in the squad who are playing their first World Cup and they have not played at such big stages so they can fumble on the field which may cost the team so Captain Sharma must come into view about this point.
Batting
Similarly in the batting line, they also have young and inexperienced Yasvashi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube who may choke in pressure situations. Although these all are talented players, they never played at big stages like this.
Bowling
If we talk about the bowling lineup, Muhammad Shami is missing an experienced and classic bowler so there are chances India’s bowling lineup may feel pressure in his absence. Shami is a good death bowler as well therefore he will also be missed in the death overs.
Strengths and key players
If we talk about the overall Indian team their squad is full of guns and experienced players
In the batting lineup, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the most experienced and they will take responsibility for the batting success of their team.
Virat Kohli has always proven himself as a great batsman, so there are chances he will be a key player for India. His key role is to stay on the pitch for a long time and help other players to take over the charge.
Rohit Sharma is always known for giving quick starts to India and he is the power hitter for the team who will take over the opponents in powerplay.
Jaisiwal is a young gun who has proved his solid technique in IPL and also in international cricket. Hopefully, he will open the innings for India along with Rohit Sharma in the World Cup.
Surya Kumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, and Rishabh Pant are middle-order players for India and they will have the role of rotation of strike and also hitting the boundaries as and when required.
Hardik Pandya, Ravinder Jadeja, and Shivam Dube will work as hard-hitting batsmen as well as handy bowlers for the team. These three all-rounders are going to be game-changers for the team.
Jasprit Bumrah, Muhammad Siraj and Arshdeep Singh will Carry the burden of pace battery for India. Specially Jasprit Bumrah will be a key player from their bowling side as he can help get quick wickets with the new ball and can crack lethal Yorkers in death overs. That’s why Bumrah is the most complete bowler in the world
Yuzi Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are the two main spinners for India. Both have the capacity to stop scores in the middle overall and break partnerships.
Hence the bowling lineup of India is so strong that they have been using this bowling line for the last three years. These players have also played in two world cups, Asia cups, and at many other big stages so their experience will help India in winning matches at all crucial stages.
