What comes to your mind after reading these two words “Captain Cool”, I am pretty sure that if you are a cricket enthusiast then you must have thought about Mahindra Singh Dhoni.
Former Indian cricket team captain and leader, MS Dhoni is known for his cool calm captaincy on the cricket pitch. But recently his teammate and former Indian bowler Ishant Sharma revealed something utterly shocking.
MS Dhoni captained Team India from 2007 to 2017, also is the only Captain to win every trophy in the world of cricket from the Indian Premier League to the Champions Trophy.
In these ten years, he has earned everything for Team India. He has won three Asia Cups, one Champions Trophy, one ICC T20I World Cup, and one famous ODI World Cup.

Was Dhoni Captain Cool?
It was believed that there is no better calm and cool captain on the cricket field other than MS Dhoni earning him the title of Captain Cool. But recently his teammate Ishant Sharma gave a shocking statement in a youtube interview about MS Dhoni.
So first of all he busted the myth of Captain Cool about MS by saying
“Mahi bhai has many strengths. But calm and cool aren’t one of them.”
He also said that MS Dhoni often uses abusive language on the pitch.
If these claims are correct then it surely busts the myth of Captain Cool, but we have to also look at the perspectives of it.
There are many things to look at, first of all, abusive language is pretty common in South Asia so they don’t take it literally. Second cricket is a game of emotions, sometimes players can not hold themselves as we have players like AB de Villiers crying on the ground.

Whether Ishant’s statements remove the mask of Captain Cool or not will be decided by cricket lovers, Ishant just had his say. One certain thing is that MS Dhoni has given a lot of moments of joy to the cricketing world and will always be remembered as a leader.
