The end of the year sees another team of the year battle among Premier League star players for a place in the EAFC team of the year. The year saw many players making their case to be included in the team. The year ended with Liverpool at the helm of affairs in the league while Arsenal slipped a steady lead at the top. The Premier League nominees for the Team of the Year have been announced.

PREMIER LEAGUE STAR PLAYERS

The highlight of the Premier League nominees include the current joint top scorers in the Premier League, Erling Haaland and Mohammed Salah, while Tottenham captain Heung-min Son, who regained his form this season, also made the list.

Both Mohammed Salah and Erling Haaland have been nothing short of a spectacle to watch this season. The Norwegian was instrumental in Manchester City winning the treble last season and has continued his rich form this season. The Norwegian forward has amassed 14 goals this season, tied with Mohammed Salah from Liverpool.

Mohammed Salah has netted 14 times this season and also leads the assist charts for the current season with 8 assists. His form has seen Liverpool end the year on a high, three points clear at the top.

Son Heung-Min has taken the mantle after Harry Kane moved to Germany with Bayern Munich. Son has 12 goals and 5 assists this season, and Tottenham currently sits 5^th in the table.

Liverpool has four players in the nominees, with Alexander—Arnold a surprise inclusion, keeping in view his lackluster performance at the start of this year but having regained his form ever since the season started.
