The Pakistan Cricket Board has unveiled its upcoming tour to South Africa, scheduled for the latter half of 2024. Set to comprise three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests, this tour promises riveting cricketing action across various South African cities.
Durban, Centurion, and Johannesburg are slated to host the T20Is from 10th to 14th December. Following this, the ODI series will kick off from 17th to 22nd December, with matches scheduled in Paarl, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. The tour will culminate with the two Test matches to be held at Centurion from 26th to 30th December, followed by Cape Town from 3rd to 7th January.
The Pakistan team’s journey begins on 2nd December as they depart for Durban after a series in Australia, marking a packed schedule for the team. Upon wrapping up their South African stint on 8th January, they will return home to face New Zealand and South Africa in a three-nation ODI tournament before gearing up for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on home soil.
Before embarking on the tours of Australia and South Africa, Pakistan will play host to Bangladesh and England for two and three Tests respectively, shaping up a robust calendar featuring a minimum of seven Tests, 10 ODIs, and six T20Is from August 2024 to January 2025.

Test Encounters
This tour to South Africa holds special significance as it marks Pakistan’s seventh Test tour of the country since 1994-95. Notably, Pakistan has secured victories in two of the previous encounters, showcasing their prowess on South African soil.
