One of the most highly anticipated games for this generation is close to its release. Grand Theft Auto VI has officially been given a trailer release date. Rockstar Games has announced that the trailer for GTA 6 will released in the month of December. Last year, in February, Rockstar Games confirmed that they were working on the sixth instalment of this legendary game series.
The fifth version of this game became the second most-selling video game ever, after Minecraft. It sold more than 185 million copies.
Announcement of Trailer Release for Grand Theft Auto VI
President of Rockstar Games, Sam Houser, released a statement on Wednesday which said that the game’s first trailer will be released in December to mark the company’s 25th anniversary.

History of the GTA Franchise
The first Grand Theft Auto game was released in 1997, and despite having some mixed reviews, became a best seller. Since then, the company has claimed to ship more than 405 million units, in these 25 years. Rockstar Games and Rockstar North won the Best Studio and Best Developer awards from Edge Magazine, for GTA 5.
What can fans expect and what took so long?
To provide fans with a never-felt-before experience, this wait was somewhat justifiable. Rockstar patented new technologies to make the game as realistic as possible. Fans were blaming Rockstar for this unbearable wait, as they thought that the company was focusing on the online version of GTA 5, which brought a boatload of profits for them.
But this wait guarantees one thing, that it will be worth it. The effort being put into making this game seems to be unrealistic. Take-Two Interactive’s boss Strauss Zelnick, who is the Parent Company of Rockstar, said: “The game needs to be something you’ve never seen before”.
Other games from Rockstar, like Red Dead Redemption, have also made waves during this era. RDR won the Game of the Year awards multiple times and reportedly took 8 years to develop. It was known for its great attention to detail and graphics. So, fans should not get rather impatient and wait for how great Grand Theft Auto VI turns out to be.
