Manchester City has created history by winning Champions LEAGUE 2023. Not only they have clinched the title but they have also completed the treble by clinching the all-important final. They have now become the 2nd team in English football history to win a treble after their arch-rivals Manchester United achieved this landmark in the 1999’s season becoming the first team to do so.
Match Review:
The match started in Atatürk Olympic Stadium and there were hopes that manchester city will easily defeat Inter Milan but that was not the case. In the first both teams created chances but City had some better chances where at one point Erling Haaland was right in front Of Andre Onana before he brilliantly saved the shot and kept his team in the hunt. In the first half, Milan did not give too much space to Man City at half time score was 0-0. However, Kevin De Bruyne
again suffered an injury in the first half with hopes of winning the Champions League on a thread.
The second half started in a similar fashion both teams were very tight in their lines and there was deadlock until the 67th minute when City was on the attack and Bernardo Silva made a well-placed ball at Rodry’s disposal to hit the goal that turned out to be the only and the decisive goal of the match. After conceding Mlian started to attack and tried many times to score goals their most appreciable chance came when a looping ball was passed on to Romelu Lukaku who headed the ball toward the goal and somehow Ederson saved the day and saved the Champions League title there was no way that would have been stopped. Inter Milan tried their best but still, they fell short as Manchester City Clinched the Champions League title their first-ever title.
