On the fourth day of the National Challenge Cup (NCC) 2023 final round at Jinnah Sports Complex, Islamabad, the excitement soared as four intense matches unfolded, each bringing its twists and turns to the tournament. With some teams securing their spot in the next stage and others facing elimination, the stakes were higher than ever.
National Challenge Cup: Teams and Group
Divided into four groups, each boasting four teams, the National Challenge Cup ignites from May 1 to 6 with thrilling group stage clashes. Teams battle it out in three intense matches. The top two contenders from each group charge into the quarter-finals on May 7 and 8. The semi-final showdowns await on May 10, culminating in the grand finale on May 12.

National Challenge Cup: Matchday 4
WAPDA VS PAK POLICE
In the opening match, Wapda showcased their dominance with a commanding 3-0 victory over Pakistan Police, National team star Alamghir emerged as the hero of the hour, delivering a stellar performance by finding the back of the net twice, showcasing his precision and agility on the field. Alongside him, Shayek Dost added to the spectacle with a goal of his own, making the third goal of the tournament.
ASIA GHEE MILLS VS PAK RAILWAYS
In a tightly contested second match, Asia Ghee Mills clinched victory with a narrow 1-0 win over Pak Railways, thanks to a decisive goal by Muhammad Suleman Ali. Railways lost another match and they are almost out of the tournament.

WSTC VS OTTO CRAIN
In a thrilling third match, WSTC secured a narrow 3-2 victory over Otto Crains. Raza shone with a brace, supported by Zaid’s goal for WSTC. Despite Muhammad Saad and Saddam Hussain’s efforts for Otto Crains, WSTC held on to a hard-fought win.
PAF VS S.A Gardens
In a fiercely contested fourth match, SA Gardens emerged triumphant with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over PAF. Murtaza Hussain’s brace and Samnan’s goal propelled SA Gardens to victory. Despite Haseeb and Fasil’s efforts for PAF, SA Gardens held on to secure the win in a thrilling encounter.
